Definitions

• aunica Technology – is a set of software tools developed or owned by aunica for the management and delivery, directly or through third parties, of Advertisements on Partner Sites.

• Partners – are websites, mobile applications, providers, aggregators, and content distributors owned by third parties that use aunica Technology due to a partnership established with aunica.
• Advertisements – are advertising pieces of brands and products owned by third parties, developed by the advertisers themselves or through their advertising agencies.

• Users – are users of Partner Sites who receive Advertisements sent to their devices with Internet access through aunica Technology.

• Advertisement Server – is the server responsible for delivering an Advertisement to the User’s device. Generally used by Partner Sites for the operation and provision of targeted advertising delivery services.

General Conditions

This Privacy Policy aims to provide information related to the collection, use, storage, protection, and rights of Users regarding their personal information managed by aunica Technology (the “Personal Information”), including:

• Form of use of Personal Information
• Form of collection of Personal Information
• Scenarios for sharing Personal Information with third parties
• Storage period and protection of Personal Information
• Control of sending and storing Personal Information by Users
• Modification of the terms of this Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy does not address the use practices and policies of Partner Sites. To check the practices adopted by Partner Sites, please visit their respective websites and review their privacy policies. aunica PROVIDES, THROUGH ITS TECHNOLOGY, A PLATFORM FOR DATA MANAGEMENT AND PROCESSING. aunica IS NOT, IN ANY WAY, RESPONSIBLE FOR THE COLLECTION OF PERSONAL INFORMATION ON PARTNER SITES, WHICH IS THE EXCLUSIVE RESPONSIBILITY OF THE PARTNER SITES.

Use of personal information

aunica licenses and manages, for Partner Sites, a series of technologies and tools, organized through aunica Technology, allowing the management of Users’ Personal Information collected by Partner Sites. This enables the delivery of targeted advertising to Users. Through these tools, aunica performs an automatic analysis of Users’ Personal Information, allowing Partner Sites, by themselves or through third-party-managed technologies, to optimize the targeted delivery of Advertisements based on the specific interests of each User.

Collection of personal information

To operate, manage, maintain, and improve the performance of aunica Technology, Identifiable Personal Information and Non-Identifiable Personal Information are used, collected by Partner Sites and passed on to aunica:

• Identifiable Personal Information – information capable of identifying a specific User, such as name, email, address, CPF, or any other information not publicly available. This information is voluntarily provided by the User to Partner Sites and shared with aunica for the sole and exclusive purpose of managing online advertising.

• Non-Identifiable Personal Information – information that cannot be used on its own to identify an individual. It pertains to records and browsing preferences of the User, organized through aunica Technology, received from the browser, operating system, or User’s device. Such information includes, but is not limited to: information about the browser used by the User and its settings; the User’s operating system and internet service provider; the unique identifier assigned to the User’s device (IP – Internet Protocol); the history of addresses visited by the User; the date and time of the User’s visit to a site; the duration of each visit and the number of clicks on a specific site; the precise geographical location of the User’s device, among others.

• Various technologies are used for the collection of Non-Identifiable Personal Information from Users by Partner Sites, such as:

• Cookie – a small text file stored by Partner Sites or the Advertisement Server of the Partner Site in the User’s browser. By saving information in a cookie, sites and servers can remember preferences or recognize browsers from one site visit to another.

• Beacons and Tags – a Beacon is a small transparent image placed on a web page, and a Tag is a small piece of computer code executed by the web browser. Both allow online advertising companies to collect data for advertising purposes and related services, through communication between a browser and an Advertisement Server.

• Mobile SDK – a version of Beacons and Tags for mobile applications.

• ID Synching – a synchronization identifier, also known as a synchronization cookie, allowing advertisers to use User’s Personal Information across multiple advertising platforms.

• Non-Cookie Technologies – alternative methods to cookies used to distinguish devices, software platforms, online services, and other technologies.

Sharing of personal information

To operate or improve aunica Technology services, the company may share the Personal Information collected with third parties essential for the operation of aunica Technology, such as an Advertisement Server, hosting server, or traffic verification tools. In this case, sharing occurs for the purpose of detecting and preventing malicious activities or invalid traffic. None of these companies are authorized, in any way, to share or disclose Personal Information to any other third parties.

Personal Information may also be shared with police, judicial, administrative authorities, or the Public Prosecutor’s Office of Brazil, in the case of a court order requiring Registro e Licenciamento de Empresas (Rle) to make Personal Information available to these authorities. Except for the purposes described above, Rle does not share Personal Information collected through Technology with any other third parties.

All Personal Information is subject to security practices, including physical and digital protection measures, aiming to prevent unauthorized third parties from having undue access to Personal Information.

IT IS THE USER’S RESPONSIBILITY TO MAINTAIN THE ENVIRONMENT OF THEIR ACCESS DEVICE SECURE, USING THEIR OWN AVAILABLE TOOLS, SUCH AS ANTIVIRUS AND FIREWALL, AMONG OTHERS, AND ALSO USING UPDATED AND EFFICIENT SOFTWARE FOR ACCESSING THE SITE.

Storage and protection of personal information

The Personal Information collected through aunica Technology is stored for a period of 6 (six) months, counted from the date of its collection. After this period, aunica may, at its sole discretion, permanently delete any Personal Information stored on its servers.

Permanent Deletion

The user may, at their discretion and at any time, request Rle to delete their Personal Information collected by Partner Sites and stored in the aunica Technology database, through this link. However, Rle may retain records of data related to the IP and date and time of access by the User for a period of 6 (six) months from its collection or for a longer period (if requested by competent authority), as required by Federal Law No. 12.965/2014 (“Internet Civil Rights”). After the end of this period, the User may also request the permanent deletion of any records of IP and access date and time.
